Lauren Hooks

Seedling Founder Lauren Hooks has been a chef for over a decade. Her specialty is coordinating restaurant build outs and launching concepts. Seedling exists to be a catalyst for change within the food industry and beyond. While cooking is her first love, she has always been drawn to streamlining operations to make businesses easier to operate.

Throughout her career she has launched many restaurant concepts, a health line food line, executed countless events, and has taught over 100 food safety classes. In her spare time she works with a local nonprofit, Sunday Love Project to get food to Philadelphians in need. Most recently she was the director of kitchen operations for Vedge Restaurant Group before starting Seedling in 2019.
